This is one of the most watched lectures on YouTube. Lawrence Krauss has a special way of simplifying complicated theories in physics and cosmology to the public. He also has a great book on this lecture called ” A Universe From Nothing: Why There Is Something Rather Than Nothing”

Interest: The Khaldoun Alnaqeeb Archive
This was a one year project of documenting all my father’s books, notes, photos, articles, lectures and video in one electronic site. To me, The Khaldoun Alnaqeeb Archive was like a time machine of knowledge. He dedicated his life analyzing human behavior and its relationship to its country, politics and religion. His ideas could be the stepping stone to evolutionary progress of globalization and democracy in the Middle East.

Music: Bjork – Joga
Bjork is one of my favorite musicians. I see her as a visionary who is not afraid to adapt and change with nature. Her nature is Iceland, a country that has geological landscapes more than one hundred million years old, adding to its beauty and mystery. She worked with the most creative producers, instruments and artists. She is way ahead of her time. Human behavior puzzled her so most of her songs are a beautiful manifestation of human emotions driven by the environment around us mixed with art. Joga, is one of her magical songs.
Travel: Nepal. 2007
Back in December 2007, I visited Nepal with some friends for some photography and adventure. We hiked through the suburbs of Kathmandu, traveled across the jungle of Chitwan district on an elephant and did some paragliding in Pokhara. I think the best way to capture this beautiful country is by walking between the mountain villages, talking to people and convincing them to pose for the camera. It was a challenge, but luckily i had some candy on me to share. People, adventure, food and nature are what i look forward to the most in every trip.
Video: Richard Feynman – The Pleasure of Finding Things Out (Arabic Subtitled)
Richard Feynman was a theoretical physicist, an artist who loved to play the drums or paint portraits and a traveller. I would say he was a generalist. He had a charisma and a sense of humor. He used to put things into perspective. He had a great imagination but was real. His curiosity and questioning was an inspiration to me. He will always be one of my favorite human beings. I recommend reading some of his books “The Meaning of it All” and “What Do You Care What Other People Think?” You will see a lot of him in my blog whether its his books, quotes or interviews.
Music: Symphony Of Science – The Poetry of Reality
Symphony of science, created by John D Boswell, who takes lectures and speeches from great scientists, transforms their voices and adds music to create a wonderful collection of symphonies. Poetry of reality and the greatest show on earth are some of my favorites.
Video: The Great Christopher Hitchens
Courage and honesty are common traits in every human being. Christopher Hitchens, one of the few courageous enough to be honest.
Articles: Islam and Science
The theory of evolution by natural selection is all about change and adaptation. Nothing stays the same or stands still, if it does, then things will die out and won’t be passed on for the future. This applies to, as simple as, the survival of a tree to the survival of an idea in an adult human brain. The future of the people of the Middle East, is to learn to adapt and accept change.

Articles: Inside the world’s most ‘impossible’ science project
It makes me happy to know that people from my region of the world, the Middle East, are working together towards progress using science. It is rare to find pronounced Arab scientists, given the political and religious difficulties they encounter, however the SESAME project is the true definition of peace through the world of science.
